An endowment is a dedicated and permanent source of funding that maintains the mission of True North Treks and the WALDEN Institute. These extraordinary gifts are carefully managed to provide permanent, ongoing support for our young adult cancer focused programs. Endowments exist in perpetuity: the fund is invested for long-term growth; only a small percentage (typically 4.5-5.0 percent) of the market value is spent each year, so that the endowment—and the legacy of our donors—endures.
