Mindful Leadership Training
|
Lead with Clarity and Intention
The Mindful Leadership Training programs at the WALDEN Institute are designed to help those in leadership positions to become intimately aware of themselves, their automatic patterns, triggers, blind spots, and the power and influence they may possess in relation to others. Attendees will learn skills to actively bring balance and compassion to themselves and others and to re-frame defeat, failure, disappointment, and challenging others, not as bad things to avoid, but as some of our greatest "teachers", all while living our moments with curiosity, patience, openness, and "beginner's mind."
Consistent with other programs at the WALDEN Institute, Mindful Leadership Training experiences will also involve engaging the natural surroundings, which depending on the experience and length, might involve hiking/backpacking, canoeing/kayaking, or fishing.
Mindful Leadership training can lead to decreased burnout and stress, clearer communications between colleagues, greater staff engagement and employee/patient satisfaction, and increased focus, purpose, wellbeing, and quality of life for those at all levels. Some reports have shown that these changes lead to increased outcomes and benchmarks of "success", like greater productivity, commitment/retention, and even revenue. Sometimes these things are visible and easy to see, but even if they are not, life can just become better for leaders who bring mindful awareness to their outlook, and that outcome, dare we say, is priceless.
While we currently do not have any Mindful Leadership Training dates posted, if this is of interest to you or your organization, please add your information to the form below to be alerted or to speak with someone about creating your own customized training experience with your group. All of our fee-based programs will directly support our nonprofit's mission on behalf of young adult cancer survivors and their caregivers.
Making time in our lives for quiet, uninterrupted self-care through extended mindfulness and yoga practice can help us to re-calibrate our lives towards what is truly important. Attending a WALDEN Institute mindfulness meditation or yoga retreat can sow important seeds of present moment awareness in our lives whether we are new to these practices or have adopted this lifestyle for some time.
Silence is a gift some of us may never fully experience in our lives, and it can serve as a sacred container for the mind, heart, and body to settle, be still, and open. By temporarily disconnecting from the noise of our lives, we may become emancipated and reconnected with our true selves - human beings, not human doings. Through this process it becomes possible to deepen, embody, and discover ways to greet ourselves again and again with unimaginable kindness, humility, acceptance, and peace.
As the WALDEN Institute evolves over the next few years, we plan to offer different types of multi-day mindfulness and yoga retreat experiences for cancer survivor and cancer caregiver participants. This might include silent retreats, yoga-focused retreats, mindfulness-based stress reduction training, or even hosting world-class book author guest speakers to share their wisdom and insight. If you are interested in attending a mindfulness and/or yoga retreat, or are a teacher or speaker who would be interested in organizing and offering a multi-day retreat-style experience at the WALDEN Institute, please complete the brief form below and we will be in touch with you.
